Poem - Street with no name
From my poem collection "City Lights"
Streets with no names,
in our hearts too much champagne.
We are holding hands
feeling like kings, having no fear.
The smell of fresh bread in the air
we are walking free through the streets with no names.
You stop and you touch my cheek, we kiss goodnight
in our hearts too much wine.
The city lights are dancing like stars,
like magic, like a dream.
They twinkle and they whisper...
Tonight, you feel like home,
tonight, I miss you even more.
Standing by the gloomy window now
Looking at the shadows of the streets with no names
so far away you are.
And in my hand, a glass of champagne.
